A bit of history....

Rado is a Swiss watch company founded in 1917 by the Schlup brothers Fritz, Ernst, and Werner in the town of Lengnau, in the canton of Bern.

In the 1960s, Rado was one of the first Swiss watch companies to use innovative materials such as ceramics, sapphire, and tungsten in the production of its watches. In 1986, Rado introduced the Ceramica watch, which was entirely made of ceramic.

This marked the beginning of the use of high-tech ceramics in the watch industry.

Today, Rado is known for its high-tech ceramic watches, as well as its collaborations with renowned designers such as Jasper Morrison and Konstantin Grcic.
